Housing Directory Listings page

The BJHT Housing Directory website serves as a centralized, searchable resource.

Project Background

Accessing reliable information about available housing is one of the greatest barriers for working families in our area. Rental properties, income-restricted developments, and workforce housing opportunities are scattered across multiple platforms, agencies, and property managers. BJHT recognized the need for a centralized, searchable resource. The BJHT was designed as a separate but connected website that makes it easier to find workforce and affordable housing options in Beaufort and Jasper Counties, as well as community resources.

What the Directory Offers

  • Search workforce and affordable housing developments by location
  • Identify income-restricted and income-qualified rental options
  • View basic property details and contact information
  • Access up-to-date information as new developments come online
  • Listings for organizations that provide resources for housing

Who It Supports

  • Working families seeking stable housing
  • Local employers assisting employees with relocation or housing needs
  • Nonprofits and service providers making referrals
  • Local governments and community stakeholders

Why a Housing Directory?

Accessing reliable information about available housing can be one of the greatest barriers for working families. Rental properties, income-restricted developments, and workforce housing opportunities are often scattered across multiple platforms, agencies, and property managers. The BJHT Housing Directory will serve as a centralized, searchable resource.

What the Directory Will Offer

The online directory will allow users to:

  • Search workforce and affordable housing developments by location
  • Identify income-restricted and income-qualified rental options
  • View basic property details and contact information
  • Access up-to-date information as new developments come online

The directory is intended to support:

  • Working families seeking stable housing
  • Local employers assisting employees with relocation or housing needs
  • Nonprofits and service providers making referrals
  • Local governments and community stakeholders

Growing Alongside Our Community

The Housing Directory is designed to evolve as new housing opportunities are created across the region. As developments open and lease-up begins, they will be added to the directory, ensuring the tool remains current and comprehensive. Upcoming additions will include Live Well Terrace in Bluffton and Northpoint on Hilton Head Island.

A Tool to Support Regional Housing Solutions

The Housing Directory reflects BJHT’s mission to create and preserve workforce and affordable housing in our two-county region. By improving access to information, we strengthen coordination between residents, developers, nonprofit partners, and local governments.

This launch represents another step toward a more transparent and accessible housing ecosystem—where individuals and families can more easily find safe, stable, and attainable places to call home.
