Completed applications will be accepted beginning Wednesday September 3, 2025 (applications will not be accepted earlier than this date and time) at 8:00am in person at City Hall, located at 1911 Boundary Street in Beaufort. You may also email the application packet to cityofbeaufortrepair@bjht.org. The final day to submit applications for review will be Friday, September 12, 2025

The City of Beaufort Home Repair Program is designed to address urgent health and safety repairs for owner-occupied homes located within the city of Beaufort. Eligible homeowners can apply to receive up to $50,000 in grant funding for home repairs. Repairs may include roof replacement, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and accessibility improvements.

Application assistance workshops will be held during the month of August. Please plan to attend if you have questions about the application or need copies made of documents to complete your application package. Funding is available on a first come, first served basis from completed applications submitted.

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Reside within the City of Beaufort
  • Own and occupy their home
  • Be current on property taxes
  • Earn at or below 80% of Area Median Income – see chart below

Applications will be reviewed for income qualification by a third party. Approved applications selected for repairs will be notified in early fall 2025. All other approved applications will be put on a waitlist by zone.

The program is made possible by joint funding from the City of Beaufort and BJHT.
