Tackling the National Housing Shortage
The U.S. housing shortage is impeding workforce development, limiting economic growth, and challenging the ability of American businesses to thrive.
Though national attention on housing challenges has recently increased, including July’s enactment of the historic and bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, solving the nation’s housing shortage requires business engagement and continued governmental leadership in states, cities, and towns.
That is why the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has elevated housing as a key economic priority. Through policy advocacy, research, coalition-building, and convenants, the Chamber is working with business leaders and policymakers to advance solutions that increase housing supply and strengthen economic opportunity.
