BJHT is excited to announce the transfer of approximately six acres of property from Jasper County, located on Argent Boulevard, to support the future development of workforce housing. This generous land donation represents another important step in the continued partnership between Jasper County and BJHT to address the growing need for attainable housing opportunities throughout the region. By making publicly owned land available for housing, Jasper County is demonstrating its commitment to investing in the local workforce and creating long-term community benefits.
Initial planning efforts will focus on the development of housing for teachers, recognizing the critical role educators play in the success of our communities and the increasing challenges many face in finding housing they can afford near the schools they serve. Providing housing opportunities for teachers not only supports recruitment and retention but also strengthens the long-term vitality of Jasper County.

Over the coming months, BJHT will develop a formal Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposals (RFP) process to identify an experienced development partner capable of delivering a high-quality workforce housing community on the site. The competitive selection process will encourage innovative development concepts while ensuring the project is financially sustainable, responsive to community needs, and aligned with BJHT’s mission of expanding workforce and affordable housing opportunities.
The Argent Boulevard property represents more than a land donation—it is an investment in the future of Jasper County’s workforce.
